I’m not a big fan of gin. I heard about Watershed gin, which is made in small batches and has a citrus-y taste.
If you can’t find it, Plymouth gin is another smooth tasting brand. I was pleasantly surprised the Watershed gin held up to its claim of citrus-y & smooth. Paired with lemon or lime, this gin is a keeper.
2 oz gin (I used Watershed)
¼ oz simple syrup*
½ oz lemon juice
Champagne or sparkling wine
Put first 3 ingredients in champagne flute or coupe. Top off with champagne/sparkling wine.
*Simple Syrup: Mix equal parts sugar and water. Boil or microwave until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool before adding to drink.
